Conversation Overheard #2

Everyone is up in arms about the war.  I have heard so many comments, quotes, questions, and tirades about the war.

So many people are for the war and there are an equal number of people against the war.

There are those who say that the war has religious implications, A Sign of the Time.

There are those who have ideas about what the war is about.

The conversations go on and on and on.

All I can say is...
Lord, help this war come to a swift end.

Conversation Flashback #1

Well, I am tired and I have a cold.  I went outside and stayed for a few minutes without a jacket.  I had on short sleeves, too.  I went to church.  I was running late and I didn't have a chance to get a jacket.  It was cold by the time service was dismissed.  I went outside without a jacket and now, I am truly miserable.

All I hear is my mother saying, "You ain't that cute, put on a jacket."

I promise, I was not trying to be cute at all.

Conversation #2

I was sitting near some people who were talking.  I tried my best not to listen, but the conversation seemed so interesting.  I almost asked if I needed to walk away.

During the conversation, I heard, that some people were just being silly, that some people just didn't understand what was going on, and that some people were making things harder than they have to be.

Why is it always seem so easy to eavesdrop on someone else's conversation?

Cell Phone-itis

Are cell phones a good thing?
Yes, there are a very good convenience.

In what way(s) do they make life easier?
They are good in an emergency. They are good when you are out of town. They are good when you are late at night.

When do you get frustrated when you see people on their cell phones (i.e. in the grocery store, in cars, etc.)?
I don't get frustrated when I see people on their cell phones.

Why does this frustrate you?
It doesn't. When you need to make a phone call, you need to make a phone call.

Procastination

Do you procrastinate?

Of course, who doesn't?

What causes you to procrastinate?

Laziness and tiredness

What do you do to motivate yourself to work?

Knowing that if I don't do it, it won't get done

Conversation Overheard #3

An unemployed friend of mine was recently told, "If you wanted to find a job, you could with all your skills."

My friend has signed up with several temp agency.  Most of the agency told her that they didn't have much these days.  One of the agencies also said, "I would suggest that you sign up with some more agencies."  My friend has submitted her resume to several places, without much success.

My friend has often commented, "It's a trip out there."

In my opinion, TRUER WORDS HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN.
